Lehigh's Annual Report websites are referred to as "one offs" because they don't have to use the style sheets or the content blocks that've been built for the university's main sites.
But the project isn't a free for all. Given that its audience is fairly small, the Annual Report website can't be the sort of undertaking that requires very many man-hours on design or dev's end. It also needs to nod to the visual style of its print version—the design and production of which overlaps with the website, but not entirely.
My goals for the 2018 site were to create a digital companion to the printed Annual Report that –
1. allowed for easy navigation
2. didn't involving duplicating content that was already on our other pages (a real concern because the Annual Report recaps events that happened over the past year—events that already occupy space on our websites).
3. felt special—but without being a time intensive build for dev.
